Changey Falls " The Biggest Falls of West Bengal"
Changey Falls is one of the biggest falls around West Bengal. The water rolls down from the height of 400ft. It has two steps one step is visible from the site itself the other step is downwards which has more height and it’s visible only from another hillside.


Chagey Falls is one of the biggest falls around West Bengal. The water rolls down from the height of 400ft. It has two steps one step is visible from the site itself the other step is downwards which has more height and it’s visible only from another hillside. It’s a very peaceful place surrounded with dense forest many birds’ habitat and migratory birds are seen in this place. This falls gives birth to Reshi River which flows down from Kolakham to Reshi.
It is 14 km from Lava and 20km from Lingsey. The roads are not well matained due to it falls on forest area where thousands of species of plants and animal are habitat to this area this place is a buffer zone to Neora Valley National Park so this placed is more preserved rather than explored. Many local tourist agencies failed to develop this place but I guess this is the best way to preserve our environment.
To witness this falls one must climb down 900 metres. A private agency helps people by lending them walking sticks in exchange for a fee. The path is very steep enough but there are multiple stoppages in between where you can relax and enjoy the cool fresh air and birds chirping, this makes your trek worthy.
This place is suitable for adventure seeker where you got plenty of things to do in this place. This place is not suitable to visit during monsoon, leeches all around and chances of landslide it’s better to sit back and relax in hotel room. The best place to stay around Chagey Falls are Lingsey and Kholakham because the Homestay are run by the local people where you can experience the Nepali culture and their delicious food and never ever miss the Barbeque and born fire.
